5 out of 5 stars Topeak Bike Rack   September 1, 2010
Chuck Davis
I bought the Topeak Bike Rack for my Trek mountain bike.
Working by myself, I had it installed in less than 20 minutes. All the hardware was included and everything fit together perfectly.
I ride mostly off-road trails, river beds, dirt, etc. HARD!!!!
I use the rack for a trunk bag and it holds everything great! Not one problem.
Highly satisfied with my purchase!!!!

1 out of 5 stars Bad Bolts   August 28, 2010
E. Richards (Alone with my thoughts)
The rack came with 8 bolts that do not fit the nuts that came with them and do not screw into the bike. Naturally, in my efforts to force the bolts to screw in, I scratched up the "hard" paint. The store will not take it back in that condition. I suspect they got a bad batch of bolts and did not bother QA-ing them. I have email into their US distributor. I suspect I have a trip to Ace Hardware in my near future.

5 out of 5 stars A must have with the ToPeak Trunk   August 26, 2010
Victor N (New Jersey, USA)
Installtion was a breeze on my Specialized RockHopper. Even though Topoeak has a different model specifically designed to bikes with disk brakes, I was able to install this one, no modifications on my bike. It did not interfer with the disk system.

My favorite feature? The ToPeak Trunk the slides into the custom rail and locks in place. Can'e wait for an excuse to try it out!

5 out of 5 stars Wow. Better than I expected   August 23, 2010
axxle
It was a bit smaller than I expected but that wasn't a problem. It took me about 10 minutes to get it mounted to my bike, a Kona Smoke 2010.

Overall great product!

2 out of 5 stars Need to have Seat Stays!   August 21, 2010
Glen C. Mcknight
I will keep this simple, this rack wont work on a bike without threaded rear seat stays. Unfortunately the info forgot to mention that. I have an old Cannondale road bike and it doesn't have the threaded rear seat stays. I didn't even know what they are, but they are two little holes on the forks coming down to the rear wheel. Quite frustrating when Amazon doesn't have these types of details. Look at the picture of the rack, see those metal arms coming out of the front, you will need holes in your bike to attach those arms. Product itself seems to be decent quality, not sure why those two arms are not black metal like the rest of it though, not to pretty.
