Good first time helmet May 12, 2007

This is the first helmet I have ever purchased. I went with this one because I prefer the half-open face design with a face shield. It fit very snuggly during the first couple weeks. After about a month, I do notice that the fitting seems to have gotten a lot better. The only thing I didn't like with this helmet is the amount of wind noise when riding with the face shield up. But then again, this is my first helmet so I'm not sure if that's typical of all half-open face helmets. There is a rubber lining around the ridge of the helmet face. I'm guessing this rubber lining is what minimizes the wind noise when the face shield is down. However, I don't know if the wind noise would continue to increase as the rubber lining gets old. There are four vents, located on the ears and forehead areas, which open and close. However, I don't know what purpose they serve as I didn't notice any difference with them opened or closed. Other than that, I'm very happy with this helmet.
