Only good for short term July 31, 2008 A. Chen (SoCali USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I would rate this bicycle as a low quality product. The spokes are plastic and the neck for the handle bar is not a very strong clamp. It would be alright for a young child not intended for rough usage. It is also a paddle brake beside the hand brake. Couldn't get the paddle to reverse to get a good start forward.
poor quality control & packaging July 7, 2008 Joe Enright 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It was not entirely unexpected given prior reviews on this item but there appears to have been no effort on the part of the company to improve either quality control or packaging. The bike arrived in cardboard packaging that was already breeched; parts (washers, nuts, etc.) fell down the basement stairs as the package was being brought in. Though loose (why?), all such parts were present -- but the seat was missing. As promised, customer service was friendly, helpful, and prompt and a replacement seat was sent immediately. The bike was assembled -- but could not be used because the front tire would not hold air. Again, customer service was friendly, helpful, and prompt and a new tube was dispatched. It's a nice little bike BUT how can a company stay in business with such shoddy quality control and inadequate packaging -- and how do those poor customer service reps mansage to stay friendly, helpful, and prompt?
