Product Description The Five Ten Men?s Impact 2 Mid Mountain Bike Shoes give you the incredible grip of Stealth S1 rubber to keep you on the pedals no matter how rough the rock gardens get. Remember when everyone used to race DH clipped in? Then some dude named Sam Hill came alone and started kicking everyone?s ass with Five Ten shoes. Well, learn from Sam and get serious about your footwear. In addition to the amazing grip, these Five Ten shoes also give you extra ankle protection to save you during a bad come-off.

| Customer Reviews: Stick like glue - only one complaint April 11, 2010 R. Campbell (On the run, USA) If you're looking for a pair of shoes that provide decent ankle support while lending a nice tacky platform that grips the pedals while pushing up the mountain, look no further. After literally destroying the soles on my previous 4 pairs of clipless hightops from various vendors an injury helped me decide to go back to platforms. Everyone I ride with said get the 510's and you won't be disappointed. I did and I'm not. I do have one little item for everyone who rides in rocky environments and a recommendation for anyone from 510 who reads this... the peak of the sole where it wraps around the bottom of the shoe and up the outside of the boot, a handful of stitches here just like the toe cap would go a long way in the life of the shoe. Our ride environment is pretty rocky with lots of aggressive exposed surfaces that like to take a bite out of whatever passes by including this little piece of sole. Every one of the people I ride with who ride these shoes or those with sole designs like them have at least one shoe where the glued sole has been mechanically separated from the body of the shoe. Stitches and glue = good, just glue is not enough.
Excellent Shoe March 29, 2010 John C. Vant (Chicago) Excellent grip on the peddles, and well put together. This shoe seems like it will last for some time.My only dislike is the "big" tongue. I'm old school (43 years)and don't like that style, but pull the laces tight and it hides pretty well. I've owned Van's my whole life, and these shoes blow them away!
