4 out of 5 stars Great bike, for what it is.   May 24, 2010

I've had this bike for little over a week now and have to say I am happy with it. Before you buy know this: YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! If you want a bike for big down hill, big drops, and a generally good beating this isn't your bike. If you just need a bike for the nieghborhood and some light trail riding then this could be it.
I have done about 20 to 25 miles on it so far. Everything from paved to medium DH trails that I don't think this bike is designed for. It has held up better than expected so far.
The bikes suspention is pretty cheesy. Not to say that it doesn't make for a nice smooth ride on bumpy trails (it does) but it is more "springy" than shock absorbing. The front forks do not lock out witch is a nice feature that comes on most all forks now. The rear coilover is cheap. I don't think the inner dampener does much of anything, but it is adjustible.;)
The derailers are low end shimano components, but i have had no issues with them so far. NOTE: they are cable driven. So, when the bike is new and they are adjusted perfectly, they will stretch after riding needing to be adjusted a few more times.
The brakes are okey. They are standard rim brakes that stop me at 170lb. with no problem. There is a big difference when they get wet! Watch out!
The wheels seem nice and true and are very lightweight.
The frame on this bike is what I think is its best quality. Looking closely it seems to be well built and I love the design. It is light weight although with all the stock components the bike weighs more like 35-40 lbs. Amazon says the shipping weight is 25 lbs witch is not true. UPS had the box marked at 45 lbs. This was the seller for me thinking it was more lightweight than it is. Now that I have ridden it I like it better. I'm sure i can loose some weight by upgrading its heavy components later.
Overall I realy like this bike and would recommened it to anyone who isn't a professional biker and would like to save a lot of money. I would also highly recommend that you have a profesional assemble the bike and fine tune it after riding a few dozen miles.

4 out of 5 stars Pleasant in Palm Beach, FL   May 13, 2010

I have purchased quite a few items from Amazon.com and when I read the reviews about buyers unhappy about the bike purchases arriving damaged or missing parts, I had to make an educated decision. I have always liked the shipping and handling of my Amazon purchases, so I ordered this 50% discounted Lamborghini Mt Bike as well as a girl and boy's Mongoose pair of BMX bikes as a gamble. All three of the bikes came unscathed. :) I assembled them with aplomb and we were all three riding our within 2 hours of assembling all 3 bikes. No scratches, No dents, No missing hardware. Kudos to Amazon...

5 out of 5 stars Great for my riding.   May 9, 2010

This is a great bike for the money. I do both on and off road riding. The off road is not extreme riding, but it has handled everthing I've thrown at it with no breakdowns or fixes, seems pretty solid. It's a very comfy ride on the roads and bike paths.

5 out of 5 stars IMO Great Bike for Money!   May 6, 2010
Michael W. Wiegert (Lincoln, NE USA)
I have had this bike for around couple of months and I have enjoyed riding it, Have not had any problem yet with the bike. Just need to make sure to follow all instructions when assembling the bike, one major one is the rear shock on the frame, that needs to be adjusted before even riding the bike or you could possibly damage the bike. I am not a everyday biker but I do like riding the trails we have in our city and about all I can say is this bike is perfect for me for what I do. I purchased the large frame since I am six and a half feet tall and weigh around 240 lbs.
